Health Insurance for Part-Time Faculty

The new group coverage for part-time faculty began January 1st, 2008. The next enrollment period will begin fall 2008 for the 2009 calendar year. Eligibility will be met by those who teach 1.5 FTE or over in the 2008 calendar year.

Health Insurance Reimbursement

Part-time instructors who do not meet the minimum 1.5 FTE for eligibility may still receive a reimbursement for purchasing health insurance. Part-timer instructors are eligible if they teach at least 3 terms a year, with at least 0.4 FTE for one of those terms (that’s two classes for most subjects). Read more...
